Yes, it is an Iris I planted last fall. We had two varieties of iris in our Venetian terrace so I am very fond of this beautiful flower since I was a little girl. One of my favorite paintings is Van Gogh's irises, the one that has all blue/violet irises with just a solitary white one. He must have felt like the lonely white iris, standing out because he was different.
I can't wait until my plants bloom, I will post pictures of these gorgeous flowers for sure.
